Education & Experience
I am a certified collaborative lawyer and accredited family mediator (OAFM) and hold an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from York University and graduated with a law degree from the University of Ottawa in 2003. In 2006 I accepted a position with the Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa as legal counsel, representing the Society in child protection proceedings. I then returned to private practice in 2007, first with Victor Ages Vallance, and then with Galarneau & Associates.
I am calm, knowledgeable, empathetic, relatable, and have extensive experience in dealing with family law matters by way of alternative dispute resolution, including cooperative negotiation, mediation, and collaborative practice.
My goal, as your advocate, is to help you resolve your legal matter in the way that works best for you and your family. My practice focuses solely on Family Law, Mediation, and Collaborative Family Law, and my objective is to do so while keeping your costs as low as possible while providing you with first-rate legal representation. At your initial consultation, I would be pleased to answer any additional questions you may have with respect to my fees and payment structure.
